The Rockwell 4-1/2″ Compact Circular Saw is an effective and hassle-free replacement for a traditional circ saw. Just grab it and go when you need to make some quick rip or plunge cuts-no need to lug out the bulky full-size saw. Even though it has the functionality to handle all sorts of projects, this saw was made for 2″ lumber, cutting 2x4s in a single pass. Its lightweight design (only 5 lbs) allows for better control of the tool so you can operate it with just one hand. And it makes overhead cutting much more of a possibility than with a full-size saw. The easy to access depth adjustment lever allows for a maximum cutting depth of 1.7″ at 90 degrees. While the bevel lever lets you make the most common angled cuts from 0-45 degrees, with a maximum cutting depth of 1.125″ on those cuts.
